Abstract

This chapter offers insights and resources into the culture of overwork in the discipline and how prospective and current political science graduate students can navigate the challenges associated with this culture. Advice is provided for students at different stages and for those with different identities. This manuscript is part of Strategies for Navigating Graduate School and Beyond, a forthcoming volume for those interested in pursuing graduate education in political science (Fall 2022 publication).
