Abstract

As artificial intelligence (AI) transforms the landscape of political analysis and research, equipping students with AI literacy has become essential for a changing job market and world. This paper explores the integration of AI literacy into a senior political science capstone course (PSC 401). I review emerging literature on AI’s role in the classroom and present pedagogical strategies I used to embed AI competencies within this senior capstone course. Additionally, I share survey findings that capture student perspectives on the value, challenges, and opportunities encountered in this course when using AI, offering insights for future curriculum development.
